My Pregnancy Week 1

Brought to you by
Pregnancy Week 1

Your first week of pregnancy starts from the day of your last period. Confusing, right? Chances are if you are reading this you are in the stages of wishing and hoping for one. Planning for a pregnancy is an exciting time, where many women experience a range of emotions. It is normal to be hopeful, frustrated, scared, discouraged, and over the moon excited all in the same day. There are things that you can do, even now, to prepare yourself for a future pregnancy.

Be aware of your body. You can chart your cycles to understand when you are ovulating, but just being aware of how you are feeling through the month can help you understand your body’s patterns. Remember that every woman’s cycle is different, so it’s helpful to know exactly when you are ovulating to maximize your chances of pregnancy and give you an accurate due date too.

Take good care of yourself! Get plenty of rest, begin taking prenatal vitamins, and consume a healthy diet supported by exercise to stay in the best shape possible. You’ll want to avoid alcohol, and caffeine if possible, while you are trying to conceive.

Now would be a great time to start dreaming about nursery decorations and baby names. If you’re a mama looking to conceive after loss, it may be helpful to talk to other women who have gone through the process to get support. If there’s one thing we all need as we prepare to become parents, it’s support from each other!

Mommy’s body tells her what to do, when to do it, and for how long. Daddy doesn’t know the difference between time and a chemistry class, so he decides to ask mommy. Mommy tells daddy that the class is located on 18th avenue off of College rd. in the campus area. She further tells daddy that once he gets onto 18th avenue he will see a sign that says Evans Laboratory, first building on the corner. Daddy can’t quite picture in his mind what she is saying to him because again, he’s no good with time. Mommy further explains to daddy that once he walks through the double doors the lecture hall is straight ahead. Daddy looks at mommy with a confused look on his face like he is lost in space! Mommy continues to talk, until suddenly daddy grabs mommy by the hands, pulls her close to him, and once she’s inches from his face he decides that’s not enough. Daddy pulls her closer. They make eye contact for one-Millie-of- a- second and instant gratification comes over the both of them as the lock lips. Long story short, they make passion, pleasure and a new born babi. The end.

Normally you only get pregnant 2 weeks after your period but thats not always the case as I’m now 15 weeks pregnant and got pregnant in less than a week after my period. (I kept very close track of that) It just all depends on your body. Maybe you are, maybe you aren’t. Don’t count on it but hope for it :-). Good luck!
